Guidelines

Health & Safety:

Dancing Little Stars prioritizes the health and safety of their dancers and instructors. We are doing our part to stop the spread of illness. Daily temperature checks are required by our staff and masks where schools mandate them. We limit personal contact and take social distancing measures during dancing. Dancing Little Stars is not liable for contraction of illness or disease. Participants/Guardians accept these risks and agrees as a condition of enrollment.

Social Media:

Unless you specifically note otherwise, we may use photos of your child for our website, social media outlets and school posters. It is your responsibility to notify us if you do not want your child’s photo used in this way. If you do not allow the use of your child’s photo, this disqualifies them from recital videos and photos etc.

Classes:

Classes begin the week of September 5, 2023 and run through May 24, 2024 

Registration is open July 1, 2023 until February 1st, 2024.
After February 1st it will be closed due to recital conflicts. 

Class instruction in held once a week consisting of; TAP and BALLET with incorporation of age appropriate HIP HOP.

Each class consists of a maximum of ten dancers and a minimum of three dancers. If there are only three dancers by February 1st, the class will be terminated. Proper notification will be given before dropping any classes. Some schools allow for multiple classes to be held.  If your school only allows for one dance class and that class if full, your dancer can be placed on a waiting list.  If your dancer is absent or your preschool closes or cancels a dance class for ANY reason – weather, holidays, field trips, etc.- we are NOT responsible for a make-up class or a refund.  Should WE cancel a class for any reason; we will schedule a make-up class in addition to the regularly scheduled class. If the class cannot be rescheduled, then tuition will be prorated. Your dancer must be three years of age to participate in our program unless you are apart of our recreation classes where we start at 2.5 years old or we have a specified 2’s class. You must attend the preschool in order to attend class there.

Dance Attire:

Dance attire is not required but it is highly recommended as it gives the full experience for dance class. For girls, a leotard and tutu or combined ballet dress. For boys, we recommend a t-shirt and comfortable athletic shorts. Ballet and Tap shoes ARE REQUIRED for our recital, which can be purchased through our website.

Your dancers name is to be written on each of their items!

If dance class is in the morning and your dancer does not wear a uniform, please have your dancer dressed for their dance class. To allow more dance time, we do NOT allow tights in dance class – unless your dancer arrives to school in tights (socks can be included to wear with their tap shoes). **A small portion of dance class time is used to dress for class. By wearing less items on dance day, enables your child to receive more dance time and less changing of the clothes time.

Tuition:

Monthly tuition is due on the 1st of each month and made directly to Dancing Little Stars via our website. DO NOT SEND DANCE TUITION TO YOUR PRESCHOOL (with the exception of the JEA or BSS, your tuition is paid to your school) Neither your school, nor your dance instructors are allowed to take your tuition payment. Tuition is based on a yearly dance season that runs from September through May (not a monthly tuition); the yearly fee amount is broken down into monthly payments for your convenience. Tuition is not prorated unless your dancer starts classes mid-month.  Online payments are accepted on our website.  Monthly payments sent from your financial institution, should have your dancers full name indicated in the account section in order for proper crediting. Checks are not allowed. If tuition is not received by the 5th of the month you will receive a late payment charge of $15 on your account. If payment is not received by the 10th of the month, then your dancer will not be allowed to attend class until balance is paid in full. 

Registration:

Register online through the Parent Portal at the top of the page. Be sure to click on the CITY and state of your PRESCHOOL address (not your home address) to reach the correct division of Dancing Little Stars.

There is a one time non refundable registration fee of $30. Once we receive your registration, you will receive a confirmation email from us.  Please add dancinglittlestarsga@thestudiodirector.biz and dancinglittlestarsga@gmail.com to your contacts. This will be the email that future communications will come to you from. It is your responsibility to contact us if you do not receive an email from us within two days of registration. Otherwise, we will assume you are receiving all of our emails. We send ALL communications through email, please make sure you click the box in your Parent Portal system to receive our emails!

Parent Observation:

You are welcome to come and observe dance class at anytime after the first month the dance season begins. If you would like to observe a class, please let us know ahead of time. We ask that if you are going to come and watch: that you do not let your child know you are there until after dance class, and that none of the children can see you.  Please peek from the other room, through the window or the door.  We have found, through experience, that when parents come into the room to watch class, the children (sometimes yours, and sometimes someone else’s) do not dance or do not dance to their full potential.  This can be disruptive to the dance instruction.  For security purposes, only Dancing Little Stars employees may help the children get dressed or use the restroom.

Withdrawal:

Notification of dancer’s withdraw from class must be in writing sent in an email.  If notification is NOT given by dancer’s parent/guardian to Dancing Little Stars, then any refund is void and not owed to the parent/guardian. If your dancer attends classes for half of the month, then you will not be refunded the rest of the month’s tuition. Your school is not responsible for informing us of the status of your dancer. 

Special Note:

Dancing Little Stars reserves the right to terminate any student’s enrollment in dance class at any time, for any reason.  A parent or guardian may withdraw their child from dance class at any time, for any reason.  Dancing Little Stars reserves the right to use group or individual photos taken during class or at the Dance Recital of your dancer to include, but not limited to our program promotions, social media, displays and  material.  We ONLY communicate through email, so make sure we have a correct email address for you.
